Lionel Messi chose to play soccer with his kids in his living room after winning his seventh Ballon d’Or. He was shown playing with his boys Thiago (age 9), Mateo (age 6), and Ciro in an Instagram story uploaded by his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo (3). The PSG attacker runs rings around Ciro as he makes every effort to kill his father at the beginning of the film. Messi is seen playing goalkeeper at the end of the video as his boys struggle for the ball. When Mateo made the decision to brutally tackle Ciro with a slide tackle, the video’s climax was reached. Mateo didn’t express any remorse for Ciro after the incident as he made his way to the sidelines.
Mateo, the son of Lionel Messi, demonstrated his defense prowess by landing a crushing slide tackle on his younger brother Mateo during a kickabout in the living room.
With two more than his opponent Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi just earned his seventh Ballon d’Or, breaking the previous record. The Argentine captain finished ahead of Jorginho of Chelsea and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich in this year’s Ballon d’Or rankings (third).
Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante placed first and second, respectively, with Ronaldo finishing in sixth.
